Time did the finishing work

At low tide the water pulls back and shows you what it has been working on — the waterline on a piling, the green bloom on a fitting, the chalk on zinc that took decades of salt air to build. That slow work is the whole point. It is the part nobody can manufacture.

Low Tide Patina is a small, one-of-each shop for objects that wear their history honestly. Copper gone green, brass gone soft and dark, stoneware crazed to a fine web, paper foxed at the edges. Nothing is bought by the pallet and nothing is bought to be flipped fast.

Pieces get cleaned, and they get described honestly — chips, hairlines, old repairs and anything loose are photographed and written down. They do not get stripped, polished back, or repainted. An eighty-year patina is not a defect to be corrected.
